  • Unified – All the actions in your narration should be centered around a common theme (idea or argument)

  • Coherent – Your story may not be chronological. However, you need to show the shift in characters, location, and time. 
  • Climactic – Have a climax moment in the narration
  • Include the 5 W’s: who, what, when, why
  • Be vivid – Sensory information such as sound, touch, taste, smell and sight make the story feel more real
